Our client is a leading full-service boutique hotel in the heart of Lagos in need of a Chief Security Officer.

Job Description

The Chief Security Officer is responsible for the entire security of the hotel ensuring the safety of Guests, Staff and protection of its assets. The CSO role is reserved for candidates with background in Law enforcement or the Armed forces. Responsibilities include developing security policies, supervising personnel, conducting risk assessments, and liaising with law enforcement agencies.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee and manage all aspects of security operations, safeguarding guests, staff, property, and assets
• Develop, implement, and manage hotel-wide security strategies, policies, and procedures
• Supervise and coordinate security personnel
• Monitor and control access, conduct patrols and inspections
• Oversee CCTV, alarm systems, and other security equipment
• Investigate incidents, prepare reports, recommend preventive measures
• Collaborate with law enforcement and emergency responders
• Train staff on best practices and lead emergency response for fire, theft, or threats
• Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory standards

Requirements:

• 5+ years senior security experience preferably in hospitality.
• A working knowledge of modern security technologies and architecture.
• Law enforcement/ Armed forces background.
• Strong leadership and crisis management skills.
• Excellent communication and cultural awareness.
• Integrity and ability to inspire trust.
• University degree in criminology, security studies, or related field will be an advantage.
